The Vine and the Branches
The purpose of my blog is to glorify God by humbly sharing updates about how He is working in my personal life and the church ministry He has called me to serve in as a pastor. I also use this platform to share personal thoughts and prayer requests. Prayer support is greatly needed and appreciated.
My blog is entitled “The Vine and the Branches” (John 15:1-17) to focus upon the importance of believers’ personal relationship and walk with Jesus Christ. He is the True Vine while they are the branches. Believers need to remain or abide in Christ through fellowship with Him in Scripture and prayer. They are pruned or cleansed by God through His Word (John 15:2-3; 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16). It is only then that they can bear good fruit (Galatians 5:22-26). Believers depend on Christ because strength and sustenance comes from Him to do so (Psalm 1:3; Jeremiah 17:7-8).
God has given me a burden to be an ambassador of His Word and point His people towards a relationship with Christ as depicted in the Vine and the branches allegory. May God be glorified (John 15:8).
